A veteran of the hard rock scene, Midnite Jammer was founded in Colorado in 1980. Already popular in 1985, the three original members, David Murphy (songwriter, guitar), Mic Smith (lead singer, drums), and Mark Hendrix (vocals, bass) relocated to California and soon were playing the various iconic venues on the Sunset Strip. Their first recorded album, Deep In The Night, put Midnite Jammer on the charts. Opting to decline the various offers by labels and retain full control over their music, Midnite Jammer next released Moonlight Calling, Back In The Fight, and Lifeline. By the year 2000, Midnite Jammer guitarist, Dave Murphy, and original front man and drummer, Mic Smith, were back in Colorado. A few years later the two reunited and continued to record and perform with new bassist, Peter Hill. Sadly, original bass player, Mark Hendrix passed away in 2014. Today, nearly forty years later, Midnite Jammer is preparing to release its latest single, Can’t Teach An Old Dog New Licks. This new single album with be available on Soundcloud and Bandcamp on 7/15/2019, and at other large digital retailers soon after. Quickly following the single will be another full length album scheduled to release in 2020.
